Valerian Root comes from the well-known Valeriana officinalis plant and is a natural way to calm down. This perennial plant is a member of the Caprifoliaceae family. It is known for its calming effects and has a fascinating history that goes back to ancient Greece and traditional European folk practices.

Valerian Root comes from Europe and some parts of Asia, and it grows best in moist, temperate fields and woods. It can grow up to two meters tall and has a graceful shape with small groups of white or pink flowers. The sweet, pleasant smell of these flowers is a sharp contrast to the strong smell of the roots.

Valerian Root has been carefully gathered for its healing qualities, which help people relax naturally and deal with stress. The roots are carefully dried at temperatures lower than 40 dregree celsius or 105 degrees Fahrenheit to keep the chemicals that are good for you. Even though the root has a strong, sometimes unpleasant smell, its appeal goes beyond what humans can understand. It smells like catnip, which is why cats are drawn to it, and rumour has it that the Pied Piper of Hamelin used Valerian Root to get rats to leave town.

Enjoy the soothing flavour of Valerian Root, which is often made into a tea or mixed into herbal teas and tinctures. With our premium Valerian Root product, you can enjoy the peace and quiet that nature has to give.
