How much caffeine does genmaicha green tea has?

Japanese green tea, known as genmaicha, is traditionally prepared by steeping green tea leaves with toasted brown rice. A number of variables, including the green tea variety, the rice-to-tea ratio, and the brewing duration, affect the amount of caffeine in genmaicha.

Caffeine content in green tea is often lower than that in black tea or coffee. Caffeine levels in an 8-ounce glass of green tea typically range between 20 and 45 mg. Genmaicha is diluted with toasted rice, therefore the real caffeine concentration can be slightly lower.

Does genmaicha have antioxidants?

As an antioxidant powerhouse, genmaicha is mostly derived from green tea. In addition, genmaicha may contain antioxidants from the roasted brown rice, but the concentration may be lower than that of green tea leaves.

The precise amount of antioxidants can change depending on things like the green tea variety, the ratio of rice to tea, and the general excellence of the components. A higher total antioxidant intake can be achieved by including genmaicha in one's diet.
