Much like our Spicy Chai tea, the Red Bush Chai makes a great base for a creamy, sweet and spicy Indian Chai tea latte. However, the rooibos base makes it completely caffeine-free. Robust and unique, our Red Bush Chai is the perfect sweet treat to relax with before bed.
Based on the antioxidant-rich South African rooibos tea, our Red Bush Chai merges the tangy spice of star anise, ginger, cardamom and cloves with the sweetness of cinnamon, fennel seeds and orange peels. Peppercorns add an earthy texture to the chai, which makes it perfect for creating a soothing cup of Indian Chai.
The Red Bush Chai goes best with a dash of milk and sugar, which transforms it into an indulgent treat.
Our Red Bush Chai tea should be steeped for five minutes in water that is 100 degrees Celsius (or 212 degrees Fahrenheit) to enable the freshly ground spices to blossom into a delicious, aromatic experience. The strong chai flavour means that just 1 or 2 teaspoons per cup should suffice.
Thanks to the rooibos, this sweet and spicy tea is completely caffeine-free. This means that it’s ideal for creating a relaxing, rooibos chai that will softly send you to Dreamland.
